:iconmurasaki99: won my first 1K kiriban with a screenshot and requested a group shot of her characters. I had something kind of ominous based on the latest page of "Visit the IK," here [link] but then one of my cats kind of... messed up the sketch. At the same time, her manga has picked up over 40,000 pageviews on the Privateer Press forum, so I turned the sketch into a celebration instead.

Watercolor and a bunch of other stuff.

Ah this is another that gave me fits. I think because you have to relinquish some degree of control.

I'd say the crew was working on their second round. The rest is natural student bounciness. Though I think Phoenix is discovering the joys of Firkin Port. Mmmm, port. :lol:

It's watercolor with Aquarelle pencil, which is water-soluable and somewhat cleaner to work with than watercolor.

Yup, watercolor = random surprise elements. I'm learning to just enjoy the experience of discovery, as they say. *grin*

I'd go for some of that port, too, especially after a long day like today. Worthwhile, but long and not yet over. :)

I've got the Prismacolor watercolor pencils in addition to regular Prismacolors. I should do some regular watercolor and then play with the watercolor pencils over the top. I think I need to finally break down and buy some Frisket though... got any recommendations as to brand or type?

The brand of pencils I really like are the Staedtler Karat pencils. They have an excellent color range, and I've worn all my favorites down to stubs. I need to make a shopping run and replace 'em. I also have Derwents and some no-names, but I like the Karats the best.

Y'know, I have never bought or even used frisket, ever. I should.
