Figured I'd test-drive my 18 Expressions worksheet with Ken (aka Owashi no Ken aka Gatchaman) this time. Again, I left the sketchiness intentionally.

"Bored" had me laughing out loud!
"Disgusted" is like, "Eeeew! I just stepped in what?!"

Really excellent work! Ken has a nice, mobile face, and being young he can really emote when he needs to.

I wonder how often Nambu Hakase sees the "bored" face? :XD:

*Pats* the "drunk" Ken on the head. ;)

Thanks! We tend to forget, when he's being all Heroic, that he's a teenager, and Bored comes with the territory. Both he and Joe have the same "Ewww" face. ;) My favorite is "tired," which came as a last-minute inspiration and at least isn't a variant on "sad."

Absolutely amazing! The angry and irritated look are most familiar to me..I guess because they love to make him all snarly in the show...

And the shocked look makes me think Jinpei is after him to pay his tab again...as if he is saying, "You don't *really* expect me to pay, do you?"

Fantastic as usual, though!!

He does pull off some silly expressions when confronted with his tab. ;)

The "tired" was pretty much how I looked last night. Now I've moved on to "somnolent". ;)

I think all young guys have the same "ewww" face. :D

Oo, for teenage characters there should be a pic for "obnoxious" as well as "bored".

Hmm, how would we do "obnoxious"? Maybe "sneering" would work.

I can imagine the "tired." Caffeine was my dear, treasured friend on the last move. Red Bull looks and tastes similar to Oranimin C, and I bought a case for the week.

Hmm, combine sneering with a certain level of oafishness and you'd have it about right. My instructor's Irish Sport Horse had that expression and attitude down pat -- and he was a teenage-equivalent. More like a young thug at the start, but he did get better, slowly. :o

Not sure I could tolerate such a heavy dose of stuff like what is in Red Bull, but I do take tea or coffee and that seems to help. Also claritin for the allergies irritated by all the dust we've been stirring up. Ah-choo! :sneeze:
